Baby’s First Easter Basket

Jensen is going to 6 months old during Easter. Even though he wont remember it I want to make it special. I put together some fun items that he can use as he grows, some clothes and of course books. I reused this bolga basket from Olli Ella. I have a few of these basket and they make the perfect holiday basket along with the perfect toy storage! I also love this one from Amazon!

Below is everything going into Jensen’s basket plus a section of other things we love that would be perfect in any baby’s basket!

If you follow me on Instagram or have read some of my previous blog post you know that I am a big fan of books that fit into our décor on our book shelves. Even those these books are technically part of his basket I used them as décor in his room. I know I can get away with that this year! lol

Guess How Much I Love You was actually in his Valentines Basket but it has a bunny on it so it also works for Easter! So a cute book to read to your Littles.

The Little Rabbit, again if you have read previous posts you have seen other books by Nicola Killen. We love this series Ollie is so cute and always on an adventure with her animal friends! We hope that Jensen enjoys these books as much as his dad and I do. Also the illustrations are gorgeous!

The Tale of Peter Rabbit is a classic Easter book so I obviously had to add it to our book collection! The one linked is a small version perfect basket size!

The Velveteen Rabbit was one of my favorites as a kid. I have vivid memories staying up reading it with a flash light under my covers. It gave me such an appreciation for my favorite toys.

Toys are obviously an important piece to any Easter basket, even for a baby! So I through in some fun things he can play with now and will enjoy as he gets older.

A bunny is must for an Easter basket, especially since Jensen doesn’t have one yet. Maileg has an entire section of rabbits and bunnies on their site that are so adorable, well made and fun for any little!

This Rino is also from Maileg, I was able to pick it up at a local baby boutique Jane’s (she ships if you like to shop small). It is so soft and plushy! My mom got him the Dino version too!

Kendal the Kale is another score from Jane’s! We love Oli and Carol, they are hand made with non toxic materials. Jensen has and loves the radish and the watermelon! We also have a few for the bath, the boat and a duck, they are the perfect bath toy because they do not have holes so water cannot get inside and mold! Kale seemed like the perfect one for a Easter basket because bunny food. They also have a carrot teething bracelet that would be fun for a baby too. Oli and Carol is also available on amazon if you are pressed for time!

A few other toys I grabbed for Jensen’s basket were these adorable wooden toys from Bannor Toys! I love wooden toys because they inspire imaginative play along with being sustainable and good for the environment. I am working on a whole blog post about wooden toys we love and why. When I saw this cell phone I had to get it for Jensen, he is obsessed with mine so hopefully this will distract him a little bit. (wishful thinking, I know!) This push bunny was too perfect for Easter, but will also be fun for him to play with now that he is sitting. I also thought it will look cute on a shelf in his room when we aren’t playing with it. Bannor Toys also has a engraving options. I had Jensen’s name put on the back of his phone. They shipped the same day I placed my order. Oh! I almost forgot the best part they are Iowa based!

Last summer I purchased a bunch of spring/summer clothes for Jensen on sale. So I didn’t do a bunch in his basket. I found this Mebie Baby outfit at Jane’s and it was too cute to leave behind. I also saw this outfit on amazon with the bunny ears and thought it would be cute to have Jensen wear on Easter. I saw it last spring when I was browsing baby closes and have had it saved ever since.

Tiny Cup – if you plan to do Baby Lead Weening with your little a tiny cup is highly recommended! it helps them learn those skills to use a real cup and helps them learn to drink.

Sun Bonnet – We have used Briar baby bonnets since he was born. They are so cute and well made. This sun bonnet is perfect for keeping the sun out of littles faces and is so pretty!
